The poking is meant to unblock energy channels in the body to ease pain or discomfort. You will require a science related bachelor’s degree to start a career in acupuncture. You will also need to study for a master’s degree from a school accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Finally, you can practice alternative medicine as a homeopath. Homeopaths treat illnesses using the law of smililars. Herbs that would harm a healthy person are administered to a patient in homeopathy. Homeopaths believe that if a herb can harm a healthy person, it has the ability to heal a sick person.
